Fundraising Team
The Fundraising Team of the Athens Immigrant Rights Coalition (AIRC) secures the resources needed to support immigrant families and sustain AIRC’s advocacy efforts. This team is actively working to raise funds for AIRC and its affiliated organizations, including Support for Immigrant Families in Crisis (SIFIC) and U-Lead. The funds raised help provide critical support for families facing crises such as housing instability, food insecurity, and legal challenges. Additionally, funds are used to strengthen AIRC’s advocacy work by supporting staff and volunteer organizing, administrative costs, and outreach efforts

What We Do
Donations to AIRC are managed by a trusted fiscal agent. The Economic Justice Coalition serves as the fiscal agent for AIRC’s administrative and advocacy work. Administrative and advocacy work is shared by volunteers of AIRC’s member and partner organizations, including SIFC, EJC and DIA. Donors can contribute by check, Patreon, or Venmo. The Fundraising Team is constantly generating new ideas to increase support, including congregational campaigns, percentage nights with local businesses, and recurring donation drives to promote long-term sustainability. Volunteers may assist with organizing events, reaching out to potential donors, and coordinating with other coalition teams to keep messaging consistent and effective.
