Rapid Response Team
The Rapid Response Team (RRT) is a dedicated committee within the Athens Immigrant Rights Coalition. The primary mission is to monitor reports from community members regarding ICE sightings and police activities that could affect our immigrant neighbors. We aim to respond to each report as quickly as possible in attempt to document the activity and deescalate the situation if possible to prevent our neighbors from being detained by ICE.

What We Do
RRT members monitor various channels to respond to reports of ICE sightings or police activity in the community. RRT members may respond to reports with vague location details such as a road name or around a specific landmark or business. We may also respond to car stops, work raids, and home raids. Each member plays a crucial role in safeguarding our immigrant neighbors. Through the collaborative efforts of RRT and AIRC, we aim to create a community that lives in harmony and solidarity, ensuring that all residents, regardless of citizenship status, feel safe and supported. Current members can access the LO checklist and agitator checklist.
